They need it – you love it – we got it – the big kids edition

This post has moved to our new blog!

  1. Oh man, our girls would LOVE that cool lunch box!

  2. My favorite present as a child… hm… I think I’d have to go with my sea green scooter. That was all I wanted that year.

  3. Well no question, my favorite gift was the year I got a horse!

  4. Hmmm… My favorite present as a child was a (hideously ugly) sweatshirt that my dad picked out because it was the first time my Dad actually picked out something for me all by himself rather than just signing his name on the card my Mom picked! I wore that sweatshirt until it was insanely ridiculously too small!

And I think a Goodbyn will be my inaugural purchase when the new store opens!!!

  5. Oh my goodness, I can’t remember a favorite! I do remember how my dear grandma would spoil me and buy everything on my list 🙂
I miss her so much 😦

  6. Oh, that’s easy. My favorite present was a kitten when I was 4 years old. She lived 18 years!

  7. My favorite, favorite, favorite gift as a child was my golden vanity set. It had a padded stool and very fancy mirror. I got it when I was 7 and I’m pretty sure I used it well into my teen years.

  8. My favorite gift would have to be my big wheel!

  9. I received my favorite gift on my 4th birthday: I went to the store with my Grandpa and picked out one of those magnetic-rolly wheel things. I still have it!

  10. Easy – my favorite gift ever recieved was when I was seven. A beloved aunt bought us two tickets to the Nutcracker Ballet and a bar of very sophisticated (to my 7-yr-old eyes) Toblerone chocolate. I felt so grown-up and special. I’ll never forget what a good time I had with her.

  11. One year, it was a Nintendo gaming system, and a few years after that, it was the SEGA system. (Can you say gaming geek?) 🙂

  12. Hands down, my Cabbage Patch kid!!

  13. A fluffy, red (yes, RED) winter coat. I thought I was da bomb!

  14. I think I was 4 or 5 when my dad made me a fantastic two story dollhouse, from scratch! The shingles on the roof were made from sandpaper, and he had used little pieces of carpet for the rooms. Someone (Grandma?) had sewn teeny tiny curtains for all the windows. Looking back, I can’t believe how much work that must have been.

  15. you gave more valuable information and it;’s very helpful to everyone.

    Thanks for sharing.

  16. My favorite present was definitely my drum set. It was a huge surprise and I used it all the way until I was about 20. Instruments are always a great gift, and HB has many of them!

  17. And the winner for this post is poster #4 which would be…LEIGH! Congratulations, and thanks to everyone for playing!
