  1. I agree with you about preferring that the legislation be dropped altogether instead of changing the language to “prohibit”. Unfortunately I received a letter from my district’s state senator (Jon Erpenbach) yesterday stating:

    “While I would not have supported any so-called modesty amendment to this bill, an amendment was passed on a voice vote that changed the following language in the bill: The language changed from: ‘No person may interfere with the right of a mother to breastfeed her child’ to ‘No person may prohibit a mother from breastfeeding her child’.”

    Very disappointing. I’m not sure if there’s anything else that we as constituents can do?
