Many of you have probably caught wind of the recent studies coming out of Minnesota that have found traces of carcinogens such as formaldehyde in common baby products such as Johnson & Johnson’s Baby Shampoo and Baby Magic’s Baby Lotion.

Alison has long been an advocate of the Environmental Working Group’s Cosmetic Database – a stellar resource for information on many bath and body products (they even have small companies like Lusa – which of course scored a “low hazard” across the board) that we discovered when searching for safe-for-kids sunscreen.

You might want to go take a look – even products boasting “natural” such as many of Aveeno’s “natural” line are rated “moderate – high hazard”.
